JAY'ED (pronounced as Jade) is a R&B singer born in New Zealand to a Japanese father and a New Zealander mother. He has performed with artists such as JAMOSA, DOBERMAN INC, and Justin Timberlake.
Having been born to a Japanese father and New Zealander mother [1981.09.16], JAY'ED has traveled frequently between the two countries since he was young. After seeing American R&B group, K-Ci & Jo-Jo perform in Osaka, Japan in 2005, he decided he wanted to become a singer. He released his first indie-label single, Why? in 2005, and then released his first album the following year. JAY'ED is currently signed to the TOY'S FACTORY label and is preparing to make his major label debut. His first major label single, Superwoman, was released on May 21, 2008. The single debuted at #95 on the Oricon charts. He is currently working on his second single, Zutto Issho.
